Your Rights + Responsibilities As A Client!

+You can decline to be tattooed at any time.

+You are welcome to ask as many questions as you have abt the process, design, or what I’m doing as I’m working or the products I’m using.

+You are encouraged to bring any comfort items that will help you with social, environmental, physical, and pain management, especially for longer sessions, which can include:

  • headphones, earplugs, eye covers

  • phones or portable screens/gaming devices

  • blankets, pillows, or stuffies (if they’ve been recently cleaned)

  • stim/fidget items or stress balls

  • snacks/drinks

+While I will do my best to ask during the process, you are welcome to initiate advocating for your personal needs, which can include:

  • privacy - no matter the placement of the tattoo, you’re welcome to ask for privacy curtains

  • comfort - changing positioning during tattoo, asking for pillows, hot/cold temperature, distractions, etc.

  • breaks - take as many as you want

  • design changes - flash pieces generally cannot be changed but applicable to custom work

  • space/time - if you need some time alone with the design before making final decisions, again take as much time as you need

  • ask to avoid being touched in certain areas near tattoo

  • ask for silence or to change the topic in conversation

  • asking for time updates, how far along in the process, and to let you know when we’re x minutes from being done

  • noise levels - I do work with other ppl and there is usually overhead music playing at medium level, if you need a quieter environment, please ask and I will do what I can but I may not be able to completely meet this need

My general promise is that I will do my best to accommodate you while also respecting my personal needs/boundaries. I will do my best to be transparent, honest, and communicative as possible. Feedback is always welcome.

Feel free to keep these in mind with other artists but remember that everyone has a different way of working. If these things aren’t explicitly stated with the artist you’re working with but is something you need, it’s worth checking in with them on it. Ultimately, communication is essential and trust your instincts!
